For the longest time, summers in our family were spent at the pool. Every Saturday, we would get up at an unearthly hour and travel to a local pool to watch our kids swim in a swim meet. Fortunately, we had 5 kids that swam so we didn’t have to spend four hours watching a swim meet to see one child swim twice – once at the beginning of the meet and once at the end.
Swimming was great for our family. Our kids had something to do every day during the summer and it got them out of bed – unfortunately none of them were old enough to drive, so my wife or I had to get up as well to drive them to the pool – at 6:00am every morning.
They did well and had fun which was awesome!
While I was at the swim meets, I would take pictures of my kids and look for other opportunities to take pictures for my stock photography portfolio. Below are several images that I took of swimmers at swim meets.
