Las Vegas. It is a city that draws people in because of the lights, the glamour, the money, and the fun. The Las Vegas Temple is the antithesis of the immorality that tends to draw people in. The Las Vegas Temple of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints is dedicated to God and it’s purpose is to bring people closer to God through ordinances and instruction.
The Las Vegas Temple is located on the east side of the Las Vegas Valley up on the bench and is a striking contrast to the Vegas strip. It was announced in 1984 and was completed and dedicated in 1989. The temple was created from white precast stone walls and copper roof and detailing and is just over 80,000 square feet in size.
This sacred structure sits on over 10 acres of manicured gardens and the public is welcome to visit the grounds/gardens to experience the peace and tranquility that emanates from the temple.
