Boise is the capitol city of Idaho and has a population of just over 214,000. The city is located in the southwestern part of the state about 40 miles east of the Oregon border and about 110 miles north of Nevada.
The downtown area features many local restaurants and bars as well as the Capitol building, Boise State University, the Egyptian theater, and the Velma V. Morrison Center for the Performing Arts.
