Lake Powell is a wonderful vacation spot to spend with family and friends. There are lots of options available, including camping on the beach, staying in hotels outside the recreation area or staying on a houseboat.
A houseboat on Lake Powell can range from a small economy houseboat to huge, multi-million dollar living accommodations. The largest houseboats on Lake Powell are 4 stories high and over a thousand square feet of living space that include fireplaces, hot tubs, bars, large flat screen TVs, master suites, boat launches, slides, diving boards, winches to lift watercraft to and from the lake, built in gas docks on the back, full kitchens with laundry facilities, and more.
I have stayed on new multi-million dollar boats and more modest accommodations. While I like the amenities of nicer boats, I prefer the more modest accommodations where you can enjoy being together.
